From the Managing Editor Welcome to Volume 5 Number 1 of the Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice.
|
During my recent sponsored trip to Australia to work with the Centre for Allied Health Evidence and the University of South Australia, I had the good fortune to spend most of my time with an outstanding group of allied health researchers (pictured below). This group is grant-funded and works in conjunction with the University of South Australia and the Joanna Briggs Institute, which many of you will know is a world-wide organization dedicated to evidence based practice. I have asked that they provide systematic reviews on topics of interest to the allied health community through the mentorship and leadership of Dr. Karen Grimmer-Somers. Karen will head up this section with a commentary each quarter and will introduce these systematic reviews. We will include at least one systematic review in each issue beginning with Volume 5 Number 2. To this group, I thank you for your hospitality and for sharing your knowledge.
The Centre for Allied Health Evidence can be found on the web at __________________________________________________________________________

As requested, I have included the third installment of my preceptor education series. In this installment, I will discuss clinical teaching. Once again, thank you for visiting, reading, and submitting material to the IJAHSP.
